EVA Tubing
EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) tubing combines the best of PVC and polyethylene, which as a result can offer advantages over both polymers depending on application. Semi-elastomeric properties make it suitable for many applications where rubber is currently used, though EVA is much more cost effective than rubber, and more durable. EVA stays flexible down to -50 degrees Fahrenheit.
EVA is FDA approved material, allowing for use in food and beverage applications. Translucent in its natural state, it may be tinted if desired, or opaque in any color.
Possessing excellent permeability resistance to gases and water vapor, EVA lends itself to exposed environments and tolerates a broad spectrum of chemical compounds including herbicides and pesticides. It is widely used to handle anhydrous ammonia in agricultural applications. An outstanding property of EVA is its exceptional resistance to environmental stress cracking.
